Measuring (general guiding principles)

 

These tolerances are valid for 90x90x100 cm bags. For larger measurements the tolerances are increased proportionally.

 

The measuring has to be made in any case in the middle of the material, in tight straightened condition, from edge to edge, and from stitching to stitching.

Exception: in case of hemming the sides – the distance of the lower stitching and the upper edge of the material is authorative.

 

Measuring of stitching:

 

OVERLOCK: from the edge to the inner point of the stitching (cca. 1,4 cm) +/- 1 mm

OVERLOCK+CHAIN and DOUBLE CHAIN: from the edge to the inner point of the stitching (cca. 2 cm) +/- 1mm

 

I. Measuring of the bag:

 

1. Width

The measuring of a bag can be of two kinds:

 

Outer width of the bag:

Measuring is made from one edge to the other edge of the material of the bag, pulled and stretched.

 

Inner width of the bag:

Measuring is made from the distance of the inner side of the two stitchings (e.g. in case of Overlock+chain stitching the distance between the two chains)

 

2.Height

 

Outer height of the bag:

A) in case of bag with top skirt, measuring from the upper edge to the lower edge

B) in case of bag with top spout, measuring from the stitching of the top to the lower edge

C) in case of CSD stitching, from CSD stitching and the distance of A and B

 

Inner height of the bag:

A) in case of bag with top skirt, from the upper stitching to the upper edge of the lower stitching

B) in case of bag with top spout, from the stitching of the top to the upper edge of the lower stitching

 

II. Tolerance limit of measurement

 

These tolerances are valid for 90x90x100 cm bags. For larger measurements the tolerances are increased proportionally.

 

1. Height (length): a = -1 +3 cm

the length: the distance of the opposite upper and lower sides of the in flat condition laid IBC, measured in the middle, vertical to the bottom

 

2 Bottom width: b = -1 +3 cm

the width: the distance of the two sides of the in flat condition laid IBC, measured in the middle, perpendicular to the long side

 

3. Bottom length: c = -1 +3 cm

the distance between the corners of the sides of the bottom, measured in the middle, parallel to the length of the bag

 

4. Width of the side and folding of the edge of the material: e = +2 – 1 cm

e: generally in case of tubular fabric and PE. bags: the distance of the two bends of the laid out folding, measured in the middle, vertical to the long side

é: folding of the edge of the material – width: the distance of the edge of the material and the edge of the folding (dependent on measurement)

 

5. Diameter of stump: d = +/- 2 cm (top spout: d1 bottom spout: d2)

the diameter of the stump is the width of the flat-laid stump and the counted inner diameter of the wideness of the stump (g)

 

6. Wideness of the stump: g = +/- 2 cm

the wideness of the stump is the inner measurement of the flat-laid stump, measured between the bends of the length of the stumps or the stitchings of the length of the stump, parallel of the bottom

 

7. Length of rift of top spout: s = +/- 2 cm (top spout: s1 bottom spout: s2)

Length of rift of top spout: measurement of rift of top spout

 

8. Length of stump of top spout and bottom spout: i = -2 +3 cm (top spout:i1, bottom spout:i2)

 

9. Length of cone: k = -2 +5 cm

the length of the cone is the distance between the bottom edge of the flat-laid bag and the stitching, measured in the middle, vertical to the bottom edge

 

10. Measurement of top skirt: p = -2 +5 cm

the length is the distance between the stitching of the cloak and the upper edge of the top skirt, measured in the middle, parallel to the long side

 

11. Band distance: f = +/- 3 cm (top spout, top skirt: f1 bottom spout: f2)

the distance between the stitching of the top, bottom, or cloak and band, measured parallel to the long side

 

Length of band: 1, +/- 3 cm

 

12. Lifting and hanging: m = length: the length of the flat-laid loops, measured from the upper edge of the cloak: -2 +3 cm

 

n = n1,2 = length of stitching = length measured between the upper and lower edge of the bag: -2 +5 cm

 

n3 = width of the belt

 

o = in case of Z and D type bag the stitching of the belt, the measured distance from the edge of the bag +/- 1 cm

 

p = in case of 1L, I, and 2L type the loops are made of the fabric of the bag

length: from the cut on the bag (rift of top spout), to the inner edge of the loop: +/- 2 cm

 

r = in case of M type bags, the distance is to be measured between the edge of the folding of the loops, and the folded edge of the material:+/-1 cm

III. Tolerance limit of weight – +/- 10 %

 

IV. Fabric weight is calculated as an average between the reinforced parts and the plain parts

 

V. Bags are engineered to match the best performance and safety for the usage they are designed for.

 

VI. Price revisions

 

In case of price revisions required by the customer, Codefine SA shall take into consideration all factors generally accepted in the industry in such situation, including but not limited to raw material fluctuations, exchange rate fluctuation, freight costs, same as all labor costs, inflation and costs related thereto in the country of production.
